How to Apply to Become a Creator

If you want to become a Creator on Blender Market, the application process is simple. Before you get started, make sure you have read over How to Sell on Blender Market, which covers who can sell on Blender Market and what the rules are once you are approved as a Creator.

Step 1: Click on Become a Creator

The Become a Creator link is located in the top left corner of the Blender Market homepage.

Step 2: Click on Sign me up!

Take a few moments to read about all the great perks of becoming a creator on Blender Market and then click the orange Sign me up! or Apply Today to Start Selling button near the top or the bottom of the page.

Step 3: Sign Up or Log In

If you are already logged in to your account, skip this step.

In order to get started as a creator, you will need to have an existing Blender Market user account. Sign up, if you have not already done so. If you have an account, click the Have an account? Log in link at the bottom of the account creation box.

Step 4: Fill Out the Creator Application

Personal Info

The personal information is straightforward. All fields except the phone number field are required and allow us to contact you.

Proposal

Your Portfolio link should be a link to something like your personal website, ArtStation page, or Sketchfab profile. Not sure what makes up a portfolio? Read our article about How to Create a Portfolio.

Fill out the required Product proposal section (click here for tips) with a detailed description of what you plan to sell in your Blender Market shop. Include:

  • What type of products you make (e.g., assets, add-ons, training)
  • The subcategory (or subcategories) of your products (e.g., nature, archviz)
  • How you want to price your products (e.g., $0–20, $20–60)

The Company name field can be filled in with your name, if you are a freelancer, or your company name, if you have an existing company or are starting a new company.

Your Shop slug is the bit at the end of the Blender Market URL that identifies your shop. It auto-fills in the application form when you enter your company name. You can change the slug if you need or want to, but it will affect the URL where customers can find your shop.

Payout Options

Currently, the default payout method is PayPal. Blender Market does not currently support other payment platforms or apps. Enter the email address associated with your PayPal account in the Paypal email box.

We are willing to consider bank transfers as a payout method on a case-by-case basis, but initially, we require that you provide your PayPal information.

Creator Newsletter

Want to stay up-to-date on news and upcoming changes for Blender Market Creators? Subscribe to the Creator Newsletter. It goes out when we have new features or important information to communicate—usually once every few weeks.

Creator Agreement

In order to submit your application and be accepted as a creator, you will need to accept the Creator Terms of Use (a.k.a. the Creator Agreement).

Step 5: Submit Application

Click the orange Submit Application button! You will hear back within a few days about whether or not your application has been approved. In some cases, you may be asked for more information and you will be able to respond through your Inbox.
